I'm in a Bee!!

I just recently got accepted into a "Scrappy? Sew Bee It" bee group. Thanks to my friend Sana @ Sana Saroti for inviting me to join. This is my first bee and I'm so excited! 

We have 16 members in our bee. What a great group of friendly ladies..I have really enjoyed being a part of it. Each month the queen bee will choose the block design and fabric theme.    

May @ Confessions of a Fabraholic is our queen bee for this month. The block she picked is called "Stargazing" designed by Angela Pingel @ Cut To Pieces in the Modern Blocks: 99 Quilt Blocks from Your Favorite Designers.

I like how it turned out. What do you think? :) 

I still have to do a signature block. I already picked out the design..just have to find time this week to finish it so I can mail them out to May.

On another note, I just found out that I won 6 fat quarters of the Vintage modern and a quilt pattern @ A Bright Corner through the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day..yeah! This is the first time I won a giveaway..and it's for my favorite fabric line. Thank you so much, Andy! :)

What I got from the "Colour Swap 2012"!

I recently participated in the "Colour Swap 2012" hosted by Lisa @ Lydias Treasures 

and was SUPER lucky to have Lisa as my swap partner. :)

A couple days ago, I found a package in my mailbox at work...traveled all the way from New Zealand and this is what I got

Lisa picked the perfect fabric combination to make this tote..and the embroidery is super cute..I just love this tote bag.

And these are what I found in the kit

 The coolest pincushion and needle holders I have ever seen..along with the polymer clay pins she made.

A Cath Kidston Mug with an adorable Mug Hug

A fabric notebook with a yoyo on the front for me to take note in the class, a wooden bookmark, a bag that rolls up into a rose and a very lovely card

Thank you so much Lisa for being so kind and thoughtful. 

I will bring my "Sewing Class Kit" to the class with me tomorrow. :)

Sorry for being absent again...I have not done much sewing lately except for taking classes on weekends.

It's just that time of the year when the students are graduating so I have extra chores to finish. :(

This is why I love "Swapping"!

Hello there! :) I'm back from a 5-day English camp..I had to supervise the students with their activities so my internet usage was very limited.

On Friday when I got back to work, I was very excited to see a package from the Pretty {little} Pouch Swap Round 4 waiting for me in my mailbox.

My partner, Alisa @ Making More with Less (or BusyQuiltMom on Flickr) started with this mosaic that I put on our Flick Group

And here is the pouch she made for me:

I was thinking of making a pouch for my sewing accessories to take for my basic patchwork class and this pouch just arrived at such great time. The size is 11.5"x11.5" ..so perfect! I love the hand-stitching in the center...actually I love everything about this pouch :)

I can't thank my partner, Alisa, enough for a wonderful swapping experience. :) She's totally made my day (week)!
